KATE ALYZON RAMIL

Chairperson & President

Kate Ramil is an education enthusiast, development worker, and human rights practitioner. She earned her European Master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Hull in the UK and Universidad de Granada in Spain with full scholarship under the Erasmus Mundus scheme. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature from De La Salle University Manila, where she teaches Gender Studies and Literature.

She’s the Founder and Chair of Campus Erasmus Mundus, an NGO that focuses on strengthening the quality of higher education in non-European countries through internationalization and capacity building of higher education institutions, faculty, academic staff and students.

Currently she is the NGO Research Lead for the GlobalGRACE (Global Gender and Cultures of Equality) Project funded by the UK Research Council and coordinated by Goldsmiths University of London. She also consults for SPARK Philippines, Inc., one of the premier women’s NGOs in the Philippines.

CELSO MANANGAN

Vice-Chairperson

Mr. Manangan is currently Member, International Board, for the Establishment of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) affiliated PPP Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Health, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In addition, he is the PPP Health Advisor, SDG.Consulting GmBH, Germany.
He was formerly the Project Director & Focal Point of the International Specialist Centre of Excellence for Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Health - Philippines. The Centre, established in November 2012, is affiliated to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Manangan was the Officer in Charge & Head Consultant, Center of Excellence on PPP in Health (Philippines’ Department of Health (DoH) - CEP3H). He was responsible for a PPP team in project planning and to provide technical assistance to DOH Hospitals and local government units. He was also the Director, Administration & Finance Department, Build-Operate and Transfer Center (BOTC), renamed as the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines.
He was a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Program (2009 - 2011) and completed his post graduate degree (with honors) entitled Erasmus Mundus Joint European Master in Comparative Local Development (Master CoDe) being coordinated by the University of Trento, Italy in collaboration with the University of Regensburg, Germany; Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary; and University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Prior to this, he completed his MPA academic units, University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Mr. Manangan is the Vice-Chair of the Campus Erasmus Mundus (CEM) Philippines.

PAULINE ANGELIC ROXAS

Secretary

Pauline Angelic T. Roxas (P.A.) works with the Land Bank of the Philippines under the Environmental Program and Management Department. She is currently part of the project management team for the Philippines' first project under the Green Climate Fund (GCF) on multi-hazard impact-based forecasting and early warning system led by PAGASA, the country's meteorological agency, along with other government agencies, local government units, and the World Food Programme. Her work also involves conducting environmental and social due diligence of Bank-financed projects. She holds PRC licenses as an Environmental Planner (2018) and a Chemist (2005). A recipient of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship, she was awarded a Master's degree in Chemical Innovation and Regulation (EMMC-ChIR) jointly offered by the Universidade do Algarve in Portugal, Universitat de Barcelona in Spain, Università di Bologna in Italy, and Heriot Watt University in the UK as an international student under ChIR's pioneer edition. Prior to this, she completed her MS in Chemistry and BS Chemistry degrees from University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) where she had served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Chemistry for nine years teaching general environmental chemistry, analytical, general organic and general chemistry courses as well as chemistry and natural science for general education courses.

KENNY BAYUDAN

Treasurer

Kenny J. Bayudan is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. Through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, he has obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics for Teaching at the Universidade de Evora in Portugal. He also holds an Ed.D in Innovative Educational Management from the University of Makati. He is a licensed teaching professional with over a decade of teaching experience at the secondary and tertiary levels. His fields of specialization are mathematics and research. At present, he is engaged in various career and professional development activities. He works as a program coordinator for education programs at Children International, Inc while pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is also one of the board members, where he sits as treasurer, of the newly established Campus Erasmus Mundus, Inc.

CLAIRE ANGELA TABLANTE

  

Claire Angela S. Tablante (Claire) is currently an English Language and Cultural Assistant in a public primary school in Spain, under the country's Ministry of Education. She has also worked with the Ministry of Education of Colombia for a similar program for a public secondary school. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in European Languages with a major in French and a minor in Spanish from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Through an Erasmus Mundus program, she studied Linguistics with a track on French as Foreign and Second Language for a semester in Nice, France as an undergraduate exchange student at the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis. She also did a non-degree course on Social Psychology, an online course provided by Wesleyan University in the USA. She passed her Civil Service exam (professional level) in the Philippines and she has also received training in volunteering and language teaching. Prior to being involved in the field of education, Claire has worked for various companies as an analyst, of which her job included data mining in annual reports with focus on financial and corporate profiling, as well as researching on company performances and actions towards environmental, social, and governance issues.

MORSE FLORES

Morse Caoagas Flores (Morse) is currently a Human Rights Officer with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland. He has been working for the United Nations in for over 12 years in the fields of human rights, development & humanitarian assistance in various capacities.

Morse has a Masters in International Law & Human Rights from the UN mandated University for Peace (Costa Rica), Masters in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA Programme), a joint Erasmus Mundus Masters programme (Spain, Germany/Sweden), Asia Pacific Studies (Japan) & BA History from the University of the Philippines- Diliman.

CATHERINE LOURDES DY

Catherine Lourdes Dy (Kate) holds a Ph.D. in political science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Belgium alongside a Ph.D. in political theory from the LUISS Guido Carli di Roma in Italy. Her doctoral research explored international human rights norms, specifically focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in the transnational, regional, and local contexts. At present, she is senior project manager and researcher with the Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR) where she works in the European Peace Department, managing two projects, CHAMPIONs which seeks to address polarization, radicalization, and violent extremism in Romania, Hungary, Poland, and Germany; as well as the European Pact for Integration (EPI), with the goal of the project being to improve migrant integration through the application of the Intercultural Cities Index with thirteen partners across Europe. Kate is also currently affiliated as an ingénieur de recherche with the Université Catholique de Lyon and holds a collaboratrice scientifique position with the Laboratoire d'Anthropologie des Mondes Contemporains (LAMC) based at the ULB.

Michael Caampued

MICHAEL CAAMPUED

  

Doc Myx Caampued is a health systems consultant with more than a decade of involvement supporting community health development in the Philippines. He worked as a ‘Doctor to the Barrio’ for the Municipality of Polillo where he was given the Grand Distinction award by the Department of Health. He was a technical consultant for Health Systems Strengthening under the World Health Organization – Philippines contributing to the efforts improving maternal and child outcomes and the development of the national policy on service delivery networks. He was involved as a consultant for the Universal Health Care (UHC) advanced implementation sites - technical working group aiding in the discussions on care integration and prioritization of investments for UHC. He sits as the founding board member of the Philippine Society for Public Health Physicians (PSPHP) and was the founding partner for the public health NGO, Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes, Inc (AIHO).

ROYCE LYSSAH MALABONGA

Royce Lyssah Malabonga works in the field of intangible cultural heritage. She conducted cultural heritage fieldworks in the Philippines, Lebanon and countries in Europe. She was involved in cultural heritage research projects with Diadrasis, an NGO based in Athens, Greece working on interdisciplinary research on Archaeological & Architectural Conservation and the Prince Claus Fund. Through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship grant, she was able to pursue a Joint Master’s Degree in Dynamics of Cultural Landscapes and Heritage Management (DYCLAM) which involved universities and museums – Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle-Sorbonne Universités and Musée de l'Homme (Paris, France); Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Naples, Italy); Instituto Politecnico de Tomar (Tomar, Portugal); and Université Jean Monnet (Saint Etienne, France). She is the Co-Founder of Sraya Kultura, a socio-cultural startup that has a mission in transforming cultural heritage and responsible tourism as drivers for inclusive development across Southeast Asia.

GINBERT CUATON

Ginbert Cuaton (Gin) has a BA in Social Sciences major in Political Science from the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College. He was an Erasmus Mundus academic exchange student at the Institute of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw in Poland from 2016-2017. He has served as a consultant for various local and international humanitarian and development organizations following the onslaught of super typhoon in the Philippines in 2013. He's currently a faculty-researcher at the Leyte Normal University teaching undergraduate students and conducting research with particular focus on post-disaster studies, gender, community development, and public health.

CZARECAH OROPILLA

Czarecah Oropilla (Eya) has a Bachelor of Science in Family Life and Child Development from the University of the Philippines where she graduated cumlaude. She was awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for an International Masters in Early Childhood Education and Care, a joint programme of Oslo and Akershus University College (now Oslo Metropolitan University), University of Gothenburg, Dublin Institute of Technology (now Technical University Dublin), and University of Malta.

Eya has taught undergraduate and preschool classes in the University of the Philippines. She also has managed operations of an international role-play facility for children and their families in Manila.

Currently, Eya is a PhD Research Fellow in the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, where she is also part of the KINDknow Centre (Kindergarten Knowledge Centre for Systemic Research on Diversity and Sustainable Futures).

MARI-AN SANTOS

Mari-An C. Santos graduated with a degree in Film and Audiovisual Communication from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She is a writer and editor with extensive experience in grassroots and non-government organizations, working largely in environmental education, environmental conservation and preservation, ending gender harassment, discrimination, and violence, and youth empowerment. She took up a Joint Erasmus Mundus Master's in Women's and Gender Studies (GEMMA), and the Universidad de Granada awarded her the Matricula de Honor (Highest Distinction) award upon graduation in 2019. In Romania and Poland, she has worked with Aiesec's GROW Youth Programme and Feminoteka Foundation, respectively. Her research areas include policies about and experiences of migrant Filipinos, and masculinities. She is a member of the Philippine-based organizations Advocates for Environmental and Social Justice (AESJ) and Samahang Sining at Kultura ng Pilipinas (SSKPil).


PATRICIA ISABEL BRAVO

Patricia Isabel Bravo (Patricia) obtained her BSc in Biochemistry at the De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila where she served as the president of the DLSU Chemistry Society (ChemSoc). Having obtained her license as a chemist after graduation, she was then awarded an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD) in Nanomedicine for Drug Delivery, a joint programme of the University of Patras in Greece, Université Paris Descartes (now Université de Paris) in France, Université D’ Angers in France and University of Pavia in Italy. She is the youngest and the only Filipino in her programme where she currently serve as the student representative of her batch. At present, she continues her internship at the Université de Paris - Faculté de Pharmacie where she is currently working on the development of cerium oxide nanoparticles for its application in ischemic stroke and blood brain barrier - related damages. In the past 3 years, she has authored 3 peer-reviewed journals and delivered 3 poster presentations in local/international conference in the nanomaterial field. Her objective is to eventually promote the research of Nanomedicine and its drug delivery applications that can easily be translated for clinical use in the Philippines.

ROBERN PADASAS

Robern Padasas holds an MSc in Urban Studies as a recipient of Erasmus Mundus scholarship. She studied in Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Universität Wien, University of Copenhagen, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her research involved urban and regional development in Europe, focusing on agriculture and environmental policies in the Mediterranean and Nordic peri-urban areas. In her undergraduate years in Manila, she was an active member of a cultural organization and a geographical society. She received her BA in English Studies from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and worked as an environmental researcher for an urban planning consultancy firm. She is currently based in Geneva, where she is completing a project management internship at the International Trade Center (ITC). She provides support in implementing the World Trade Organization Trade Facilitation Agreement in Central Asian and Eastern African countries, as well as developing communication materials for trade-related topics.
